And as Fall approaches, my need for easy vegan pie crusts becomes even greater. I wanted to make a delicious pie crust that had the least ingredients, and that everyone could find helpful during the upcoming pie baking season.

As Fall approaches, my need for easy vegan pie crusts becomes even greater. I wanted to make a delicious pie crust that had the least ingredients, and that everyone could find helpful during the upcoming pie baking season.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup water (use as needed)
- 2 tbs date paste
- 1 tbs chia seeds
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the oat flour, date paste, chia seeds, and half of the water in the food processor (Using the dough blades) or in a large bowl to mix by hand
Process on the lowest speed for 1-2 minutes and add in water as needed to reach a workable dough
Roll out your dough to a sheet larger than the pan you will be baking in
Cover the pan with the dough and press in any breaks or gaps
Add in your pie filling and bake for recipes recommended time.
NOTE
This recipe is for a pie crust that can be both pre-baked ahead of time or blind-baked depending on the final pie recipe you are using.
