Tofu can be one of the most versatile foods that we have when eating a plant-based diet.
But even during a weight loss program, you can still enjoy this delicious recipe once or twice a week, and if you are at a healthy weight you can make this oil-free dish a staple in your kitchen.
If you are someone who doesn’t like your tofu crispy you can always use some pressed tofu and mix it with the glaze.
DESCRIPTION
Finding WFPB sauces, dips, and dressings can be a struggle at times. Luckily this orange glazed tofu and sauce meets all the requirements!
INGREDIENTS
- oil-free crispy tofu (recipe)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tbs tapioca or corn starch
- 1 tbs rice vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Place all of your ingredients except for the tofu in a saucepan the stovetop.
Cook the sauce on a low medium heat for to 10 minutes or until the glaze thickens and sticks to the back of a spoon.
Remove the sauce from the heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes before tossing in the cooked oil-free crispy tofu. Once all of the crispy tofu has been coated in the sauce serve over your choice of rice, noodles, or vegetables.
