My favorite phrase when it comes to the holidays is, “So who is ready for dessert?”. Just thinking about it now, makes me wish I was already sitting at the holiday dinner table. I also know that this time of year and that time of dinner can also be the least health-promoting time of year for many families.
I am here to change that and show that dessert can be just as delicious but made with whole plant food ingredients and thus be much more health-promoting. I hope that has been made evident by the array of WFPB Holiday Recipes that I have already shared this year. This vegan apple crisp is no different, it is completely whole food plant-based and still perfect to be shared as a dessert.
I will also mention that in coming up with this recipe, my apple crisp also made its way to the breakfast table about as many times as it was enjoyed for dessert. The ingredients list for this recipe is extremely short and should hopefully be things that you already have in your pantry or can be easily obtained at your local grocery store.
